Installation & Compatibility Guide

  • Correct Assembly Order: Always ensure the torch head is assembled in the correct sequence to avoid damage: Electrode -> Swirl Ring -> Nozzle -> Shield Cap (120929) -> Retaining Cap (120928).

  • Shield Compatibility: The 120928 cap is specifically designed for the handheld torch using the 120929 shield. If you are using a mechanized torch (which uses a different shield, typically 120930), this retaining cap will not fit.

  • System Specific: This part is exclusive to the legacy Powermax 1250 / 1650 (T80) series and is not compatible with newer Powermax45, 65, 85, 105, or Duramax systems.
