The HALANSM® 220718 Cutting Nozzle is specifically engineered for direct drag cutting applications on the Hypertherm Powermax 45 / 45A hand torch. Its elongated, precision-machined bore allows the torch to be guided directly along the material surface, eliminating the need for a separate shield cap and simplifying the consumable stack for specific cutting tasks.

Critical Installation & Compatibility Guidelines

  • Correct Consumable Stack: For standard drag cutting with this nozzle, the correct assembly order (from the torch body out) is: Electrode (220669) -> Swirl Ring (220670) -> Unshielded Nozzle (220718). Do not install a shield cap over this nozzle.

  • Unshielded Design: This nozzle is mechanically and functionally incompatible with standard shielded configurations. Using 220718 with a shield cap (220673 or 220674) will result in improper arc deflection and reduced cut quality.

  • System Lock: This consumable is part of the 2208xx series for the Powermax 45/45A system. It is NOT mechanically or electrically compatible with the HSD130 45A system (which uses 2205xx series parts). Please verify your torch model before purchasing.
