220936 is Hypertherm's outer shield cap for the HyPro2000 torch family, appearing on two hosts: HyPro2000 retrofitted onto legacy MAX200 and native MAXPRO200. Copper body + ceramic insulator ring (white band) — seats the shield cup and protects the inner stack (elec/swirl/noz) from spatter and radiant heat. The inner counterpart is 220935 retaining cap, which locks elec+swirl+noz from the torch-head side; 220936 then locks the shield cup from the outside. Together 220935+220936 form the fixed cap pair for the entire HyPro/MAXPRO consumable family.

Shield cap (outer) ≠ retaining cap (inner): 220936 = outer, locks shield cup to barrel; 220935 = inner, locks elec+swirl+noz from torch-head side. Both must be 2209xx series — cannot mix inner 220935 + outer MAX200 standard cap, or vice versa. Threads and seat geometry differ.
220936 ≠ MAX200 standard caps: Plain "MAX200" (no HyPro upgrade) runs handheld 40A = 020423 graphite cap or machine 40/100/200A = 120837 copper cap — thread & seat incompatible with 220935/220936. Forcing HyPro caps onto MAX200 standard barrel (or reverse) = thread gall + gas leak + arc wander.
Host confirmation: 220936 fits two hosts — HyPro2000 hanging on MAX200 backplane, and native MAXPRO200. Backplanes differ (MAX200 legacy cabinet vs MAXPRO200 newer cabinet), but HyPro torch + 220xxx consumables cross between them. Plain "MAX200" (no "HyPro2000" prefix on torch) = wrong line for 220936.
