220354 is Hypertherm's 200A mild steel nozzle for the HPR plasma torch family. High-purity copper alloy body with a precision-drilled conical orifice using Hypertherm's Conical Flow™ nozzle technology . The nozzle is the single most important factor in determining cut quality: it constricts the shield gas stream and focuses the plasma arc into a high-velocity, high-density cutting beam that melts through steel with minimal dross . At 200A, the demands on the nozzle are extreme — high thermal load, intense arc constriction, and continuous spatter exposure — which is why material purity and orifice geometry are non-negotiable.

Conical Flow™ orifice geometry: The HALANSM 220354 replicates Hypertherm's conical orifice profile — a precision-machined converging-diverging bore that accelerates the plasma gas to supersonic velocities for a tight, focused arc . Wrong orifice geometry (generic round bore) causes arc wander, wide kerf, excessive dross, and rapid electrode wear.
NOT for 200A bevel: 220354 is the straight-cut mild steel nozzle. For 200A bevel cutting, the correct nozzle is 220659 (paired with 220353 swirl + 220658 shield + 220845 retaining cap + 220637 shield cap) . Using 220354 for bevel applications will cause premature nozzle failure and degraded bevel angle accuracy.
NOT for stainless/aluminum at 200A: 220354 is the mild steel nozzle. For stainless steel or aluminum cutting at similar amperages, a different nozzle/gas combination is required per Hypertherm's process guidelines.
Change as a set: Per Hypertherm's guidance, HPR consumables interact synergistically — replace electrode + swirl + nozzle + retaining cap + shield + shield cap together for peak cut quality and life. A worn nozzle will destroy a brand-new electrode within minutes.
NOTE: 220354 = 200A MS nozzle. Fits HPR130XD/HPR260XD/HPR400XD/HPR800XD/HD3070/HD4070. 200A bevel nozzle = 220659. HALANSM 220354 is an aftermarket compatible replacement, not Hypertherm OEM.
