HALANSM® HLN-Z111 sits between the electrode and nozzle inside the Kjellberg torch head. Its annular body and internal swirl channels spin the plasma gas into a vortex, narrowing and stabilizing the arc column. A stable vortex means a tighter, more focused arc, narrower kerf, less dross and longer electrode / nozzle life.

Selection Notes
Use Z111 (up to 130A range) in HiFocus 160i / PerCut 160 / 170 heads only. Using the wrong swirl ring breaks the vortex, causing arc wander, wider kerf and faster electrode / nozzle wear.

Installation and Handling
· Power off the plasma source and release gas pressure from the lines.
· Remove the shield cap, then the nozzle and old swirl ring / gas guide.
· Clean the torch seat and gas passages; inspect O-rings and sealing surfaces.
· Seat the electrode, install the new swirl ring with channels aligned to the torch reference, then the nozzle.
· Fit the shield cap and hand-tighten only — do not over-torque copper or brass threads.
· Run a low-current test cut to verify arc stability and gas swirl before production.
