HALANSM® HLN-G971 is an aftermarket plasma cooling tube made of copper alloy, built for Kjellberg HiFocus 280i / 360i / 440i and PerCut 450M torches to carry cooling water through the torch body behind the electrode. It is a water tube replacement compatible with Kjellberg reference G971 / .11.848.411.142, supplied as a non-original aftermarket part.
The HLN-G971 water tube runs through the center of the torch body and sits behind the electrode. Its job is to move cooling water past the hottest parts of the stack so the electrode, nozzle and swirl ring stay within working temperature.
Cooling is what lets the torch hold 280A to 400A O2 cutting for long passes. A tube that kinks, scales up inside, or seats poorly cuts flow and lets heat build up in the electrode holder. That shows up first as uneven arc, then as scored nozzle seats and shortened electrode life.

G971 is the 280-400A water tube. Do not fit a 20-200A .201 family tube into a HiFocus 440i stack, and do not use a 280-360A .401 tube where the console calls for the .411 Ar/H2 cooling path.

For 400A Ar/H2 on PerCut 450M the water tube stays G971, but the electrode moves to G071, the nozzle to G2729 and the gas guide to G125. Those are different parts and must be ordered as a matched set.
Installation and Handling
Power down the plasma system and lock out the main breaker.
Release water pressure from the cooling circuit and disconnect the torch hose.
Remove the worn nozzle, gas guide, electrode and the old water tube from the rear of the torch body.
Check the bore for scale or debris and the seat for scoring. Do not ream the bore with a tool.
Feed HLN-G971 through from the rear, seat the electrode, then fit gas guide, nozzle, nozzle cap and swirl gas cap in order.
Reconnect the cooling hose, purge air from the circuit, then run a low-current test cut before full 280A to 400A production.
Storage and Service Life
Store dry, away from cutting dust and moisture
Hang or lay flat; never coil tightly or kink the tube
Replace if the bore shows scale, the end form is deformed, or flow drops at the console
A tube that looks clean but cuts with a wandering arc usually has reduced flow or a poor seat
