The 420407 Swirl Ring is the gas-path component that spins shielding gas into a vortex before it exits the nozzle, stabilizing the arc and improving cut quality on mild steel (O₂/O₂) at 30A. HALANSM’s version uses a high-strength engineered composite body with accurately formed O-ring lands so the gas seal stays tight and the flow stays consistent—reducing premature electrode/nozzle wear

Swirl Ring 420407 for Hypertherm XPR300 Plasma Cutting Torch Consumables 30A
The swirl ring is the “gas director” inside the torch head. Its molded vanes force plasma gas into a swirling motion before it reaches the nozzle orifice. That swirl stabilizes the arc column, improves focus, and directly raises cut edge quality while helping the nozzle and electrode wear more evenly.
Key Features
Vortex Gas Path (O₂/O₂ 30A): Internal vane geometry follows the XPR300 mild-steel envelope, keeping gas velocity/direction correct so pierce and edge stay repeatable.
Composite Body Integrity: Engineered polymer/composite construction chosen for dimensional stability under thermal cycling—designed not to warp/crack like low-grade plastic equivalents.
Precision O-Ring Lands: Smooth, controlled seat surfaces mate cleanly with the torch body/retaining elements to prevent gas bypass and cooling-water weep.
Drop-In Fit: Built to OEM form-factor so it indexes correctly with Electrode 420222 + Nozzle 420225 + Retaining Cap 420200/420365 + Shield Cap 420228.
