HALANSM® D12 x H10 M8 Single-Layer 3D Laser Nozzle
Precision chrome-plated copper nozzle for five-axis and tube laser cutting heads.
HALANSM® HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S is an aftermarket single-layer laser cutting nozzle sized OD 12 mm x H 10 mm x thread M8, built for Prima 3D, five-axis, and tube laser cutting heads to deliver stable gas flow and clean, dross-free cuts.
The HALANSM® HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S nozzle is a front-end consumable mounted at the tip of a 3D fiber laser cutting head. Its precision-bored single bore directs the assist gas jet to eject molten material while the copper body dissipates heat from the focal zone.
On five-axis and tube-cutting machines, the nozzle must maintain concentricity through continuous attitude changes. A worn or off-center bore ruins edge squareness and raises rework. Replacing it with the HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S restores stable cutting performance.
Machined from high-purity copper for strong electrical and thermal conductivity, keeping the tip cool during long production runs.
The inner wall and tip are hard-chrome plated for wear and corrosion resistance, extending service life in high-heat cutting.
CNC-bored and inspected for concentricity so the gas jet stays centered through complex 3D and bevel cutting paths.
The single-layer design provides a stable, laminar gas flow for nitrogen and clean cutting of thin to medium sheets.
Part Type | Single-Layer 3D Laser Cutting Nozzle |
Outer Diameter | 12 mm |
Height | 10 mm |
Mounting Thread | M8 |
Aperture (default) | 2.0 mm (available range 0.8 - 3.0 mm) |
Material | High-purity copper, hard-chrome plated tip and bore |
Application | Five-axis / 3D cutting, tube / pipe laser cutting |
Aperture range follows the standard Prima 3D nozzle size table. Exact aperture and thread pitch should be confirmed against your head model.
The HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S is intended as an aftermarket replacement for the following M8-interface 3D cutting-head families:
· Prima 3D (PRIMA Industrie) five-axis laser cutting heads
· 3D cutting heads using the D12 x H10 x M8 nozzle form factor
· Tube and pipe laser cutting machines with M8 nozzle interface
It is NOT a substitute for M6 or M11 nozzles even when the aperture looks similar. Provide your head model and original part number for a fitment check before ordering.
Within the D12 x H10 x M8 family, choose the aperture to match material and assist gas:
· 0.8 - 1.5 mm: thin stainless and mild steel with nitrogen, fine detail cutting
· 2.0 mm (default): general-purpose five-axis and tube cutting
· 2.5 - 3.0 mm: thicker plate with oxygen; confirm with your process parameters
For thick-plate oxygen cutting on a different head platform, consider a double-layer E-type nozzle instead of this single-layer part.
Power down the laser and release all assist-gas pressure before starting.
· Unscrew the worn nozzle by hand or with the recommended tool.
· Clean the ceramic seat and check the O-ring groove for debris or damage.
· Thread the new nozzle by hand until it seats, then tighten finger-tight only.
· Reconnect the gas supply and run a low-power alignment test before production.
Store nozzles in their original packaging in a dry place. Handle the bore with clean gloves to avoid contamination.
What laser heads fit the HALANSM® HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S nozzle?
The HLN-P3D-M8-D12H10S fits Prima 3D and compatible five-axis and tube-cutting heads with an M8 nozzle interface and D12 x H10 form factor. Send your head model and original part number for fitment confirmation.
Is this an original Prima nozzle?
No. It is an aftermarket replacement made to the published dimensions. The Prima and 485.73.452 references are for compatibility identification only; no OEM authorization is claimed.
What material is the nozzle made of?
It is machined from high-purity copper with a hard-chrome-plated bore and tip for heat dissipation, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.
Which aperture should I choose?
Use 0.8-1.5 mm for thin sheets with nitrogen, 2.0 mm for general work, and 2.5-3.0 mm for thicker oxygen cutting. Exact aperture depends on your material and gas settings.
Can I use this nozzle on an M6 or M11 head?
No. The M8 thread will not mount on M6 or M11 heads. Always match the thread and overall height to your cutting head.
When should the nozzle be replaced?
Replace it when the bore shows wear or scoring, spatter blocks the orifice, or cut quality declines. Regular inspection prevents damage to the ceramic ring.
